This perfect fit raised bed garden is in Redlands California in one of the most desirable areas of the city.
The residents of this lovely home reached out to He Provides desiring to fill an existing neglected area with a raised bed garden that looks good!
Before:
The proposed garden area had thyme and mint growing in it with drip irrigation. It was only
yielding a few herbs and did not meet the customers desired aesthetic.
Action:
Our first order of business was to clear out the area and make it into the exact vision that our
customers had in mind.
After clearing out all the mint and thyme along with their invasive roots, we need to make the
ground nice and level. We installed our high quality weed barrier to prevent any weeds from
popping up again. Next, we installed a smooth gravel that is perfect for bare foot gardening. We
installed pavers so that the customers could reach into the garden from either side of it easily.
We then brought in our handcrafted untreated redwood Large Raised Bed(3x7x36) and filled it
with our premium specially curated organic raised bed soil. We use Redwood for our raised beds
because it is the best locally sourced wood available that is naturally rot and mite resistant that
lasts for many years without decay.
Later we installed our automatic drip irrigation system that provides water to the plants on a
routine basis without anyone needing to hand water or turn it on.
We planted green onions, parsley, sage, radish, bok choy, red mustard greens, green curly kale,
and dino kale for a wide variety and abundant harvest for our clients.
This garden came installed with our greenhouse raised bed cover to help the new plants thrive in
the cooler months.
Shortly after installation our clients were able to enjoy a delicious harvest from their own
backyard raised bed garden!
Next we were requested to help fix the fruit trees that were already planted in their front yard.
Many of the fruit trees were severely damaged by grasshoppers, caterpillars, slugs and snails.
The young trees were nearly dead and in need of some major help.
We then got to work treating the pest issues in an organic way. We started a monthly routine to
fight back against the pest and give the trees a chance to establish proper roots and mature before
needing to fight against so many attacks.
After a while all the trees survived and grew very well and produced excellent fruit under our
management.
This yard now has lemon trees, tangerine trees, orange trees, and an avocado tree along with a
perfect fit raised bed garden to match the pleasant aesthetic around the rest of the landscape.
We maintain this wonderful garden each month for this wonderful family!
